GoodVision International

United in one vision

The international network of our funding organizations and our operational organizations in the program countries where we have installed permanent presence: either we built an own entity or through a local partner representing GoodVision.

The teams in each country cooperate very closely to ensure best practices in optics, quality management, ophthalmology, and project development. Ultimately, the recipients of our services shall receive the highest quality optical care possible.

Our Commitment at IAPB’s global conference 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE

At GoodVision, we are engaged members of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and founding members of the WHO SPECS 2030 Initiative. Our mission aligns with the global ambition to significantly reduce uncorrected refractive errors by 2030 – a challenge too vast for any single organization to tackle alone.

We know that real progress depends on strong partnerships, coordinated action, and the power of shared expertise. That’s why we’re making 2030 IN SIGHT a priority in our international engagement.

This year, we are actively expanding our collaborations with stakeholders to explore concrete opportunities for joint action. We’re not just exchanging ideas – we’re building structured, impactful partnerships that create measurable value for our programs and the communities we serve. At the congress, we will initiate these critical conversations, build trust with potential partners, and turn shared goals into actionable steps. This is how we move closer to universal eye health.

Visit Our Booth #20

For the first time, we will have our own booth at the congress, where we’ll introduce the GoodVision App – our game-changing tool for eye care in the field, integrating our NEW Impact indicator (VALY) that is calculated directly during line of care. We are looking for collaboration partners, other organisations and government bodies, who are interested in using our tool and VALY, to enhance impact measurement. A solution from non-profit for non-profit.

About 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE

What is happening during the congress?

This is the only global conference that is dedicated exclusively to bringing together leaders, innovators, and changemakers to find solutions to one of the world’s biggest challenges; ensuring eye health is also available for people in underserved regions of the world. The event is structured into three days of high-impact collaboration and knowledge sharing:

  • Member Engagement Day (4 June):
Dedicated sessions where IAPB Member Engagement Groups share achievements, future commitments, and collective solutions for eye health. IAPB Participants are free to join the various groups.
  • 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE (5–6 June):
The core global gathering bringing together practitioners, researchers, philanthropists, and business partners to align action toward 2030 goals.
  • Innovation Showcase:
A platform highlighting emerging technologies and ideas designed to close access gaps and strengthen eye health systems globally.
  • Rapid-Fire Poster Sessions: Opportunities for delegates to present proven solutions and tangible progress.

What is this year’s focus?

The overarching theme is ”Unite for Impact.” The focus is on transitioning from strategy to implementation, specifically:

  • Value of Vision: Emphasising the economic and societal benefits of eye health, such as higher productivity, better education, and reduced traffic deaths.
  • Integration: Moving eye care into national health policies and primary healthcare systems.
  • Commitment Building: Serving as a “drumbeat” of momentum leading up to the first-ever “Global Summit for Eye Health” in Antigua later in November 2026.

Why is it an important signal to have the IAPB Congress in Kenya?

The aim is to spotlight the region as a powerhouse for eye health innovation, particularly in mobile technologies and community-lead outreach. It is also an opportunity to showcases the Government of Kenya’ commitment to the 2030 strategy and its role as a hub for health collaboration in Africa. Lastly, Nairobi is considered as a vibrant hub of health collaboration, offering the perfect stage to amplify these efforts and turn strategy into impact.
